Looking for BAC parking? Flyparks can help you to find the best BAC car parking option, whether you’re searching for short- or long-term, undercover or open air, budget or premium parking, or just trying to arrange a quick pick-up or drop-off at the airport. We’ve put together this short article, detailing all you need to know about Brisbane Airport parking, including where to book, how much you can expect to pay, and how to secure the best deal.
BAC provides several free of charge parking options when it comes to picking-up or dropping-off friends and family at Brisbane Airport. If you only have time for a short hello or quick goodbye, you have the choice of:
Drivers should only enter the pick-up area, in front of the Domestic Terminal building when their passenger/s are ready for immediate collection. For those that are running early, it is possible to wait for up to 30 minutes without charge in the Pick-Up and Drop-off Zone. The Zone is within walking distance from the central face of the Domestic Terminals and includes spaces for 221 vehicles. You can find the waiting area next to the P2 Long Term Car Park, via Dyandra Road. You will need to ask your passenger to text or call you when they are ready to meet you, so that you can drive back around to collect them on your way out.
Drivers dropping-off passengers at the Domestic Terminal may do so by the kerbside, in front of the building. Passengers must be ready to alight from the vehicle quickly, as you have two minutes to complete your drop-off. If your friend or family member is not ready, you will be asked to move on by a Kerbside Officer.
You can wait in your car for up to ten minutes in the International Passenger Pick-up Area, however staying longer will incur a fee. During peak times (7.00 - 11.00 am and 6.00 - 8.00 pm), drivers may not be allowed to stop unless their passengers are immediately ready for collection. This is however a handy option for those that know if their friend or family member has already collected their luggage and is soon to exit the Arrivals Hall. It’s worth noting that you can exit and re-enter the International Passenger Pick-up Area as many times as you like, provided that you don’t overstay.
To use the International Passenger Pick-up Area, make your way through the roundabout and keep to the left of the ramp. As you drive towards the terminal, move into the green Passenger Pick-up lane. You will need to collect a ticket and then pull into the kerbside zone to collect your friend or family member. Drivers must remain in their vehicles at all times. Once you have collected your passenger, you will need to swiftly make your way to the exit.
The International passenger drop-off is via the Departures Road on Level 4. This is the best option for a speedy farewell. You will have two minutes to drop off your passengers, and you must remain with your vehicle at all times.
At Brisbane Airport, kerbside pick-up and drop-off zones are strictly reserved for drivers who have a passenger ready to enter or exit their vehicle. If you overstay your allotted waiting time, you will be asked to move on by a Kerbside Officer. If you have been requested to move your car, your best option is to park and wait in the Short Term Car Park or the designated waiting area, for your friend or family member.
BAC owns and maintains an on-site short term car park, called ParkShort. Located right behind the Terminals, ParkShort is a good option for extended hellos and goodbyes. The car park is open 24/7, and designed for stays of four hours or less, meaning that you can spend a little more time with your passenger before seeing them off.
