These car parks are run by independent companies, and situated off the main airport grounds. To make up for the extra distance, these car parks provide complimentary shuttle bus services in both directions. Valet parking allows you to experience the convenience of dropping your car off right at the terminal, and collecting it again from the same location once you land. Valet parking services store your car on your behalf, while you're away. They are straightforward to use, and simply require you to call the parking provider when you are thirty minutes from the airport to meet you, and then once you have collected your luggage, on your return to Christchurch. A trained and uniformed member of staff will return your car to you, and assist you with your bags.
Air New Zealand offer a valet service at Christchurch Airport, however it is exclusive to customers travelling domestically or internationally on the airline. No pre-booking is required, you just check in at the valet desk inside the terminal after dropping off your car.

Christchurch Airport (CHC) is the main airport serving Christchurch, New Zealand. It is located approximately 12 kilometres northwest of the city centre, in the suburb of Harewood. Close to seven million passengers transit through the airport every year, making it the second busiest airport in New Zealand, with 94,955 aircraft movements during the same period. The airport is curfew free, and operates 24 hours a day.
Due to increasing passenger numbers in recent years, several terminal upgrades were completed in 2011 and 2013, plus the construction of a new covered car park in 2007. The new terminal building includes a combined check-in area servicing both domestic and international passengers, a large landside retail and food precinct, and new domestic departure and arrival lounges with enhanced retail facilities.
Christchurch Airport operates from a single terminal which caters for both domestic and international flights. The airport has direct flights to 18 domestic and 11 international destinations, with a total of 900 scheduled domestic and 157 international flights arriving and departing each week. The airport is primarily serviced by Air New Zealand, Qantas, Jetstar Airways, and Virgin Australia, with flights to Auckland and Wellington, alongside cities on Australia’s east coast.
