The Short Term Car Park at Terminal 1, Perth Airport, is an open air parking facility within close walking distance of T1 International & Domestic. Priced for short stays of a few minutes to a few hours, the car park is primarily used by those dropping off or collecting passengers from Terminal 1. The car park has 1,530 bays and is open air, meaning that vehicles are not protected from the elements. The facility is guarded by 24/7 monitored CCTV and manned security patrols. There are diasabled spaces available at the front of the car park, for drivers with a valid ACROD parking permit. Vehicles that can be parked in Short Term T1 include sedans, minivans, station wagons, utes, sports vehicles, and luxury cars. Vehicles must fit within a standard size parking bay.
You do not have to book in advance to park at the Short Term Car Park at Terminal 1. You can either find a car space on the day of your departure and pay drive-in rates, or make an online booking at least 2 hours in advance of when you need to be at Perth Airport. Stays at the Short Term Car Park at Terminal 1 are initially charged in short five, ten, and fifteen minute blocks, and then by the hour, after the first 60 minutes. After eight hours, travellers are charged the full day rate, and then billed daily from this point onwards. For stays above eight hours you can book your parking online, however you may wish to consider long term parking at this point.
The first ten minutes at the Short Term Car Park T1 are free, however rate rise to $6.60 for 10-15 minutes, $8.00 for 15-30 minutes, and then $13.80 for 30-45 minutes. If you want to park there for two or three hours, you’ll pay $23.40, and then $25.40 to park for four hours, plus an extra 0.59% if you pay by credit card.

Perth Airport’s Terminal 1 is located within the airport’s T1/2 precinct, and serviced by a range of Australian and foreign owned airlines, with flights to international, regional, and interstate destinations. The northern flank of the terminal is reserved for international flights, whereas the western end is used by Virgin Australia for domestic routes.
At present, Terminal 1 serves all international flights into Perth except for those operated by Qantas. Carriers which use Perth’s T1 as a hub include AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Scoot Tigerair, Virgin Australia, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, Garuda Indonesia, China Southern Airlines, and South African Airways.
There is a dedicated passenger pick-up/drop-off lane outside of Terminal 1. However, drivers must remain at their vehicles and cannot exceed the two minute time limit. Any vehicle left unattended will be fined. For this reason, many people prefer to use the Short Term Car Park, as a more convenient and relaxed way to say hello or goodbye to friends and family.
