On arrival at the Mackay Airport Short Term Parking - Covered facility, you will need to drive towards the entry barriers and press the ‘help’ button. Please quote your Flyparks booking confirmation number, which will grant you entry to the car park. It’s important that you don’t tap your credit card or take a ticket. If you do either, you will be charged twice. Once you’ve entered the car park, locate an available space and park up.
Once you arrive back in Mackay, you need to repeat the same procedure at the exit barrier. Press the help button and quote your Flyparks booking confirmation number. If you have exceeded your booking time, you will be asked to pay the difference.
The Covered Short Term Car Park is located by the second entry when approaching from Jack Connor Drive. This is opposite to the Rental Car Pick up/drop off area.

A great location, however this is the third time that we have encountered problems. The checking in from paying online is fraught with issues. Then the checking out is so time consuming. To get someone to open the gate, took over an hour. We had to stay the night in Mackay because we deemed it too late to drive on the Peak Down Hwy. We were totally exhausted. Apparently water had caused complication to the network this time around. It is a great location and we wish that personal service from the airport could be chosen. Aircraft are still arriving yet the car-park service is not open. The late arrivals would appreciate this as customer service. Or if they choose to leave, then another supervisor of ground staff be available. We had to deal with someone from Cairns. When we arrived,we could not talk to anyone as the phone service was not available from technical issues. We had to park our car out the front of the airport until a security lady asked us to move on at 05.30 am. It was her who told us to just take a ticket and sort it all when we returned at 2100 from Brisbane. Famous last words... If you can understand our frustration. Im not sure of if we will use the under-covered carpark again. Its too difficult, if only things could be resolved promptly. We understand that issues can happen, the difficulty to fix things is a disaster. I hope this helps and please pass onto management.
