This includes short and long term stays, at budget park and ride car parks as well as premium valet services. All of the various rates are presented below, so that you can get an idea of how much you can expect to pay for parking. Travellers departing from Auckland International Airport have fewer choices than their domestic counterparts. There are three official car parks intended for use by international travellers, including Short Term Uncovered A, Long Term Uncovered E, and Park & Ride Uncovered. These car parks can be booked online or paid for on-site, at the end of your trip. We recommend pre-booking your parking as soon as possible, in order to secure the best rate possible.
Drive-up rates at Long Term Uncovered E start at $45.00 for the first day, and extend to $99.00 for three. You can park at Park & Ride Uncovered for $32.00 for 24 hours, and then $45.00 for three days. Short Term Uncovered A is priced in shorter blocks, with rates starting at $3.00 for the first ten minutes, and extending to $12.00 for a full hour, and $21.00 for two. You can save approximately 10% off drive-up rates on long term parking if you book online and in advance, and closer to 25% if you select an off-site car park.
For holidays or business trips of a few days in length or more, long term parking is the most economical way to store your vehicle at Auckland Airport. In terms of on-site parking, you have the choice of Long Term Uncovered E and Park & Ride Uncovered. There are several more off-site parking providers which also offer long stay rates, from the budget Aeroparks to the premium valet-style Platinum Parking.
Typically, the closer the car park is to the terminal building, the more expensive its rates will be. Off-site car parks are more competitive in terms of pricing structures, and offer complimentary shuttle bus transfers in both directions to make up for the distance. For example, a four day stay at Aeroparks will cost you $39.00, whereas you’d need to pay $120.00 for the same length of time if you opted to park at Long Term Uncovered E. Even if you booked at Park & Ride, Auckland Airport’s own budget car park, you would have to pay $10.00 more than at Aeroparks, and still catch a shuttle bus to/from the lot to the terminal. As noted above, when you book a week in advance, you can shave a few dollars of the cost of your parking by booking online. The cost of parking at Long Term Uncovered E for three days is reduced by $5.00, whereas the price of parking at Park & Ride Uncovered is a dollar less. Online rates operate on a sliding scale, meaning that the daily rate decreases the longer the length of the booking. If you’re on a tight budget and have a bit more flexibility with travel times, you can park off-site and still easily get to the International Terminal, with companies such as Aeroparks. If you would like to reserve a space at any of the official Auckland Airport car parks, you will need to do so on the airport’s own website. At present, it is only possible to book off-site Auckland Airport International parking through Flyparks.
Due to ongoing construction work, Long Term Car Park E currently has reduced capacity.
For stays of a few hours in length, short term parking is a convenient, although not always cost effective solution. There is one short stay car park near the International Terminal, Short Term Uncovered A, which charges different rates depending on the time of day. You’ll have to pay a little extra to park during peak periods, between 12.00pm and 4.59pm. One hour of off-peak parking will cost you $12.00, compared to $14.00 at peak rates. You can expect to pay $21.00 for two hours off-peak, and $23.00 peak.
We’ve compiled the drive-up rates for Short Term Uncovered A below, as you cannot book parking for very short periods of time online. If you’re planning on staying at Auckland Airport for a couple of hours, you can simply tap your credit card on and off upon entry/exit.

Ideal for business travellers and those that appreciate closer and more convenient parking, valet and car grooming services are available by International Terminal at Auckland Airport. These services are provided and maintained by the airport itself, and can be pricey. For valet parking without any options extras, such as car washing, you can expect to pay $63.00 for uncovered parking and $66.00 for covered, for 24 hours. Stays of three days will cost $159.00 for uncovered and $177.00 for covered parking. After the five day mark, each additional day will cost $39.00, regardless of which option you choose. You can save a little money by booking online, as prices are typically 10 to 15% cheaper for stays of three day or more, and roughly 30 to 40% cheaper for stays of four days or longer.

There is a designated public area located in the middle forecourt lane, which can be used for immediate pick ups and drop offs. If you are waiting for a traveller, you should use The Wait Zone, which has over 50 spaces where you can wait, free of charge for up to 30 minutes while your passenger exits the airport.
An alternative option is to use the Drop & Ride area at Park & Ride, where you can safely drop off your friends or family. They can then catch one of the Park & Ride buses onwards to the International Terminal, while you then drive back home. If you want to spend more a little more time with friends or family at the airport, or simply grab a coffee, you will need to park in the short term car park right across from the International Terminal.
While you can arrive at almost any of the car parks at Auckland Airport on the day, and pay drive-up rates, you’ll find the lowest prices online.
